Enjoying the Wet Season

Some great tips for enjoying the wet close to Alatai Apartments thanks to Sue Moffitt, local Author of  ‘Darwin in the Wet‘.

Visit the George Brown Botanic Gardens and stroll through the rainforest.  Smell the peaty undergrowth, listen to the noises of the bush including the distant honking of magpie geese.  Coincide your walk with coffee at Eva’s, where colourful orange and white flowering shrubs line the pathway and palm trees wait patiently for a breath of wind. The old wooden church has been re-invented to house a unique cafe with relaxing supper club music and a great outdoor deck.
